Exporting 3D data - Z is lost

Hi,
If I load in a 3D shapefile (PolygonZ for example), GM shows the 3D verticies in the info tool. But when exporting to a shapefile, the Z values are lost and the resulting output is a 2D (Polygon) shapefile.
How can I preserve the 3D coordinates when exporting the shapefile? Thanks!

You have to make sure to check the box to 'Generate 3D Features' when exporting the new Shapefile. Also make sure that you are using Global Mapper v9.01 or later for 3D area export to be supported.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Thanks,
Mike
