Export elevation data to Google Earth

Hi,

I've load on Globalmapper9 DEMO a .asc elevation data and try to export to Google Earth by using the "export raster and elevation data>Export KML/KMZ"
but when i load it on G.E. I only see the raster-generated image (and the file dimension in facts seems too low to contain elevation data).
It's a bug or elevation data is not exported when saving to KML/KMZ?
Are there other workaround to load on google earth my custom elevation data with the help of globalmapper? If necessary with the help in the middle of some other program like Sketchup that I verified export elevation data to G.E.

Thanks.

The raster KML/KMZ export to Google Earth only exports a raster image of what is displayed. It does not export an actual elevation grid. As far as I know there is not any way to update the terrain surface used in Google Earth.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

Google Earth Side Bar has a Terrain option , I normally select it to show the elevation. This sometimes comes handy to get a feel and when I tilt the view in GE it gives a good feel of the hills etc.
