Attribute average value inconsistency
Hi,
As the title says, for the same attribute of the same features, we get different average values in different places. Specifically the one in the "style by attribute" when using "load values" and the one in the attribute query table when calculating statistics of the attribute are different and the one in the styling window is wrong.
This happens in different files so we think this applies to any data set.
Please confirm and dvice.
Best regards

Hi Michele,
I can reproduce this and see what is happening. On the Style tab, the average is computed as the average of the unique values, so duplicate values are only counted once, while on the Attributes tab it is the average of all values and more what you'd expect.
I'll create a ticket to update the Styles page to work as expected so duplicate values are counted.
Thanks,
Mike

Dear Mike,
Thank you for the info and the prompt response.
Great to hear it will be fixed soon. Around when could we expect the release of v27?
Best regards

Hi Michele,
Global Mapper v27 should be out in 3 weeks or so. It is in beta right now. The next beta would have this particular fix.
Thanks,
Mike
