Map Layout Editor fails- "Assertion Failed"

I have never had reason to try this before but when I try to use the Map Layout Editor is fails as attached. GM ver 23

It reports Windows 10 Home but I have Windows 11 Home (upgraded from 10.)

i9 PC, 128GB RAM, lots of disc space available

    Many thanks Mike, I would never have thought of that. Can I get 23.0.1?

    Hi Howard,

    This issue occurred in 23.0.0 when launching the Map Layout Editor if your view background color was not white (internal issue GM-12748). Versions 23.0.1 and later all fix this, or you can workaround in 23.0.0 by changing your View->Background Color to White before launching the Map Layout Editor.

    Don't worry about the reported Windows version, that was a weird Windows thing and doesn't indicate an issue. Our latest releases correctly lookup the version of Windows you are actually on when reporting errors.
