How to transfer license of GM to a new machine when out of service and maintenance support

Hi,

I have been using GM very sparingly for about 5 years when I purchased a license for GM 21.1. As I only need to use it very rarely, I didn't renew the support license. Last year, I bought a new computer and was advised by GM that in order to transfer the license to another machine, I would need to go through the removal verification process. To do that, I would need to remove the license from the old machine, send the removal code to authorize@bluemarblegeo.com.

Then once that was received, they said that I could authorize another machine. I did all of that last year without any issue even though I was out of service.

Now, I have upgraded my computer again and want to do the same thing, but GM is trying to tell me that I cannot transfer to another machine and I need to purchase a new license.

Like I said, I use this software very sparingly to convert some DEM data to LiDAR. I paid over $1000 for this license 5 years ago and I really don't use it enough to justify spending money on another license.

Can anyone confirm that there is no way to transfer this current license to the new machine following the steps mentioned above? I am afraid that if I remove the license from the current machine, then I won't even be able to use GM on the previous machine.

It feels like their CS is just trying to squeeze me to buy another license but I suspect that there are actually some free tools out there that can handle the simple task that I am using it for.

Any support would be greatly appreciated.
