How to Adjust Mesh (3D model) Elevation?
I am importing some simple standard DXF 3D models to replicate within GM without having to create a large number of them individually in CAD. E.g. via simple GM copy-paste, move, rotate and vertical offset however there does not appear to be a way to adjust the Z values for new locations.
In the X-Y plane, the functions such as Copy/Paste to new layer, Move Mesh Feature and Rotate about the selected vertex all work fine.
However, none of the vertical re-positioning options have any effect. Entering an Offset to Z/Elevation doesn't complain but doesn't stick. Creating a new attribute with the desired new elevation and configuring in either the Feature itself or the Layer to get the new Elevation heights from that attribute for either Absolute or Model Height doesn't change anything.
Whatever is tried the vertices Z values remain permanently fixed at the original value, and the models only ever position at either the original elevation sitting under or over the terrain at the new locations or uses that value as an offset to the ground level so sits way above the terrain at the new location.
Am I missing something in the tools, or is this a bug, or is locking the mesh Z value actually a feature?
At the moment I'm travelling and limited to V25.1.
