how do I get separate values from a grid

I would like to create a grid over an agricultural trial and the get the values for each grid cell. For example, the average height within the cell area. The aim is to end up with a CSV containing the values.

    Hi Marcus,

    You can use the Create Regular Grid tool in the Digitizer to create a grid for sampling at the desired size and location. You can then select the grid areas and use the right-click Measure submenu command to get elevation statistics to calculate a bunch of statistics inside each grid cell from the underlying terrain, including average elevation.

    Thanks Mike, I will give that a go.

    Some photogrammetry software companies such as Pix4D Fields are building the zonal statistics into their processing platform. As we are doing more research trials now using the drone imagery, having workflows that support research plot evaluations is very beneficial.
