Print to PDF - resolution issue
Hi all,
I'm hoping someone else has come across this issue before and can help me out.
When printing from the map layout editor, and selecting Adobe PDF (I have Acrobat Pro) as the printer, I have always had issues where many of the vectors (say of a contour plan) on the right hand side of the output file. The angle of the cut off will also change if I have rotated my map. This has been common across all of the most recent versions of GM for at least the last few years, and I've also changed computers in that time to a much more powerful desktop so memory availability shouldn't be the issue.
To overcome this I have printed as Geospatial PDFs, but the same happens there if I select 1200dpi. If I choose either the regular print option or the Geospatial PDF option and downgrade the output to 600dpi then it prints all the vectors fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance, Nick

Hi @NickV
I've switched entirely now when printing from MLE that I always select print to file/jpg then select OneNote (Desktop) as the printer which gives a high quality jpeg (typically 5 to 7 MB). I then convert the jpg to pdf to get around the issues you mention above.
Hope that helps.

Hey @CarrickCon
Hadn't thought of using OneNote for that! If there's no visible issue with resolution, then that might be a good fix. I will definitely give it a go.
Cheers mate
