Edge score histogram (in geometric segmentation) || interpretation and usage

Dear Global Mapper community,

I would like to improve the process of segmentation, or at least understand it better. It is rather complicated for the users in GM. 

Therefore three questions about the edge score histogram.

1) Are there users who use it and if so, in what way?

2) How meaningful are the values?

3) How can the curve contribute to a better adjustment of the parameters?


There is no information on this in the forum, the knowledgebase or the manual.

    I would also like to learn more about the settings for advanced geometric segmentation and I'm not sure where else to look.
