Removing data from a grid from polygone.

Hi,

I created an elevation grid from a .csv files that contain thicknesses of clay for X,Y points. I want to represent thicknesses of clay underneath a dam. For some areas I dont have many datapoints so I'm not sure I want to present the information.

How do I remove selected areas of my Elevation grid? I created a polygone over it but can't extrude the grid....

I use version 25.1

Best,

Jerome

  • HI Jerome,

I'm not 100% clear what you are trying to do, but simplest way might be to create a shape (or multiple shapes) of the areas that you want to exclude and simply "Crop" them as shown below.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,

Step 1 - Create Exclusion Areas (red hatched areas)

Step 2 - Select Exclusion Areas and double click on your Elevation Grid and select "Cut Out Currently Selected Polygons(s) on Cropping Tab

Step 3 - Hit Apply and you should be done!

  • That's exactly what I wanted to do. thanks so much!
