Map view properties and Creating perpendicular lines

I have been noticing two "bugs" that have prevented me from upgrading from v20.1 to the latest Global mapper iteration:

1) The Map view properties window is missing the "Apply" button in new products (since 23.1 i think) and it has been very useful (for me) when previewing the map view edits without having to leave the window by pressing the "OK" button.

2) The "Create Perpendicular Lines Spaced along Selected Line/Area Features" routine does not perform as expected since v20.1. I am unable to create perpendicular lines with attributes, especially using the options shown below.

I noticed the sad loss of the "apply button" recently too, but more alarming is that the zoom in/zoom out buttons on the Map View tab of the Map View Element no longer work (well at least in V25). If you click on zoom n/zoom out the screen goes blank, as per two screengrabs below. In order to adjust zoom you need to use central scroll button on mouse.

I have no issues with the chainage tool i.e. "Create Perpendicular Lines Spaced along Selected Line/Area Features" routine. However, I've never been able to label the chainages form this routine which is a shame (my workaround is to create points at each of the chainage markers and manually label them).

@CarrickCon Thanks for buttressing my point. In fact, my problem with the "Create Perpendicular Lines Spaced along Selected Line/Area Features" is that it does not label the Chainages, your workaround is only good enough for short alignments. A 100km road to be labeled at 25km intervals is a nightmare to label manually.

Totally agree @alienyouth - I haven't been able to get the chainage labelling to work for a few versions now. I thought it was just me, but seem like others are having the same problem. Wow, Imagine that! Almost 4 yrs ago. I think the GM crew is more focused on Lidar capabilities development. Anyway, my current workaround to both complaints is sticking to v20.1 of the product.

Not sure if you got any further with your chainage marker problem? I noticed this morning (by accident) that the "Create Point Features Spaced Along Selected Feature(s)" does actually work and gives you Chainages at specified spacing, as shown in attached image. Unfortunately the "Create Perpendicular Lines..." tool still doesn't work, for me at least...
