Question: reload or refresh an individual layer
For many of my geotechnical investigation projects, I build a GMW with relevant files linked in such as LiDAR, satellite and UAV imagery, line work, and test hole locations.
My test hole locations are usually saved in a CSV file especially if there has been lots of previous drilling in the area. Depending on the project, I may edit that CSV numerous times using Excel to add fields and calculations.
But, the only way to pull in the new data fields is to unload the whole project and open it up again. If I've linked in large data sets and I'm working from home, that might require many minutes. It would be helpful if I could right-click a layer and get GM to reload/refresh only that layer.
Is that possible?

We do have a todo item for that (GM-2468), but it is not currently possible to refresh a single layer in a workspace.
What you could do as a bit of a workaround is to right-click on the layer of interest and choose the Layer -> Create Workspace File from Selected Layer option. Then you can close the layer that you wish to refresh and load the newly created workspace file and drag it to the desired order. Once you have the workspace created, you can just reload that single file workspace into the current workspace to get it updated (after closing the original).
Thanks,
Mike
