Why would GM V11 know longer work downloading imagery from WMS sources?

Hi,

I have an ancient GM version 11 from 2009, and I can't find a single WMS source that it can read data from. Has something change in the GetCapabilities document that would prevent V11 from being able to read it? For example, this works fine in other programs:

https://geoint.nrlssc.navy.mil/nrltileserver/wms?REQUEST=GetCapabilities&SERVICE=WMS

GM V11 just says the server returned an invalid or unrecognized response. If I paste that in a browser, I get a perfectly good looking capabilities document. Any help would be appreciated.
