Select by Feature Description

I often work with base maps from CAD in my GM workspaces. Sometimes those CAD files are horribly complex and hard to work with. My usual method is to split the CAD file by feature description, turn off all the layers I don't want, so I can work with the ones I do.

However, it occurred to me today, it might be faster to select the points/lines/areas that I want and move them to a different layer. It would be very helpful if the right-click menu, Advanced Selections Options would let me pick all objects with the same "Feature Description" which would be the same CAD layer.
