Online Data Sources

Does anyone know a way to edit the online data sources rather than just add or remove. For example if a site has multiple data types / sources and you just want to change to last part of the URL as below which was configured manually.

Also, sites often change the data locations slightly and for a long project it is a real pain manually going through everything or making up a text file with the different locations and copying and pasting in.

Any help/thoughts appreciated.
