Decimal place precision reduced when importing PTS
I have imported a PTS with 0.001m precision. However, when importing it into Global Mapper, the XY coordinate precision was reduced to 0.01m. The LiDAR scale became (0.01, 0.01, 0.001).
There is no problem when importing TXT (which I simply change the .PTS to .TXT, and import it as points).
Is there any importing options I should aware off?
P.S.: Using Global Mapper Pro Version 24.

Can you provide a sample PTS file that exhibits this behavior? We have logic that tries to determine an appropriate XY precision to store for Lidar data read from text files based on the density of points. We could likely make that smarter in cases where there are a consistent number of digits after the decimal place.
You can either upload a zipped up PTS file here, or email to geohelp@bluemarblegeo.com .
Thanks,
Mike
