Long save times

Every time I save my project the save workspace takes a long time.... the embedding and exporting layers seem to contribute to the long save times?

Is there some way to speed up the save times?

One way to get around this is to export those contributing layers to your computer, and then reimport them back into the workspace. With this, the workspace will only need to save the file path, instead of the layer as a whole.
