LiDar Data has same projection but different planar units. What will this effect?
I have 2 lidar sets of data. when I bring them into Global Mapper they are set to State Plane but one has Planar units in Feet and the other has to be set to Meters in order for them to line up on top of each other. Both display elevations are at feet. What does the Feet vs Meter planar units effect exactly? It is apparent that the statistics for the one with 'Meters' is in meters while the other statistics is in 'Feet'. Is this the only difference I should see? Is one going to draw differently than the other in my 3d viewer- I don't notice a difference but am afraid I am missing something.
