3d views freezing computer

If I have more than one elevation grid selected in the control center, I can't load the 3D view--it freezes my computer and I have to close GM. I can only load multiple views by selecting one grid, opening the 3D view, then adding grids one at a time from the control center. This has not been an issue previously. I'm using a Windows 10 PC with 16GB of RAM, so that shouldn't be the problem. I've attached a workspace that I can't open up, because I had saved it with two elevation grids checked before this problem began, so it just hangs up when I try to open it.
