How to clear overlay type preset on data file load

Using GM v19 I set the wrong overlay type while loading a elevation data grid. When I repeat loading that file, the overlay type dialog does not show up anymore...

Appears GM remembers the wrong preset and it ends in the same error. I do not want to rename the file extension (.grd), which seems to be the only workaround...

How can I clear the wrong mapping [file extension->overlay type] so that the overlay type dialog reappears for correction?
