Can Global Mapper connect to Tableau

The company I work for uses Tableau for its final presentation maps. Currently, they export shapefiles from Global Mapper for input into MapBox.com which can connect into Tableau.

It would be great to be able to eliminate Maxbox.com from the process

Is there a way to connect Global Mapper to Tableau?

From https://help.tableau.com/current/pro/desktop/en-us/maps_shapefiles.htm, it sounds like Tableau can import several different formats that Global Mapper can directly export, including Shapefiles, MapInfo, KML, GeoJSON, and ESRI File Geodatabase.

I'm not familiar with Tableau so maybe a separate module is required for that or something.
