can't change projection on geotiff of ETOPO

My problem is that no matter how much I try to change the projection in the configure dialogue, the geotiff of the ETOPO DEM won't change--below shows the configuration I chose, but it's still showing up as a geographic projection:

Any help would be much appreciated.

I figured out the solution. Before bringing in ETOPO, I used the Configure dialog to change the projection. Then, when opening ETOPO, I just said "Yes" when it asked to use the Geographic Latitude-Longitude projection. After that, ETOPO appeared in the workspace in the correct location, even though it had been imported under the Geographic projection. My guess is that some DEMs have to be imported in their native projection, and then GM will automatically re-rectify them.
