Scripted Raster Export Skipping Empty Tiles

Hi. I am using a simple script to export raster data into multiple files (grid_type_rows_cols). The script is automatically skipping all empty tiles. For my purposes, I need a complete grid of tiles. Is there any way to tell the script not to skip tiles? I am using Global Mapper 22.1.

I thought that there was a parameter that would tell the export not to skip empty tiles, but it appears that I am wrong about that -- there is no parameter to control skipping of empty tiles. Empty tiles are always skipped. I have added a feature request to our task list (GM-12762) to add a new parameter to control this option.

Hi Bob,

Other scripted exports (such as web export - WEB_SKIP_EMPTY_TILES) have the option but not raster export. I also noted an old discussion about adding the option to the user interface for raster export but that appears not to have been done. When I use the user interface, empty tiles are not skipped...which seems to contradict discussions I have seen. Can you tell me under what conditions raster export does skip empty tiles?

Hello Michael,

If the export process is skipping empty tiles when performed via script, but not when performed via the UI, that sounds like a bug. I have added this information to the task list item that covers the option to skip empty tiles in a script.
