How can I save generated contours and overlay image

How can I save as image file with projection data from generated contour lines with overlay map image together?
For example, I generated contours from SRTM data, and after that I open map image to
overlay on the contours.
After that I can not save these contours and map image together with projection data.
What I can do so far is to save JPEG file using screen captuer function without any projection data.

    You could use the screen capture function and generate a GeoTIFF file which will include all projection information. Another option would be to use one of the File->Export Raster menu commands (like JPG, PNG, GeoTIFF, ECW, etc.) and check the box to include vector data and also to generate a PRJ file. This should get you what you are after.
