USGS Historical Topographic Map Explorer Geo TIFFs supported?

Hi. There is a website, USGS Historical Topographic Map Explorer (https://livingatlas.arcgis.com/topoexplorer/index.html) that is a convenient way to download Geo TIFFs of historic topo maps. However, I am having difficulty using in Global Mapper 21.1 the first few I tried, receiving an error message "Unhandled exception running thread RasterOverlay..."

Has anyone else been able to use these files in Global Mapper?

Hi, I have tried opening a couple of maps into 21.1 with no issues, for example https://prd-tnm.s3.amazonaws.com/StagedProducts/Maps/HistoricalTopo/GeoTIFF/NC/NC_Chapel Hill_164161_1978_24000_geo.tif

Maybe the problem is specific to certain maps?
