Creating a bare earth (DTM) tif file
Hi there,
I imported a .las file from generated by photogrammetry. I chose the Binning option to create a bare earth surface.
Looking at the generated grid, it looks good and has excluded most of the vegetation - I'm interested in the topograpghy of the river bed so the vegetation shown on the banks is not a problem.
Then when I export the grid as a tif and open it up in other software it has a zig zag profile in cross section so it useless to me.
I've tried all the different export settings and no luck.
Any ideas?

Hello,
I'm not sure what you mean by a "zig-zag profile". Could you post a screen capture of the data?
Also, when you export a grid to GeoTIFF, be sure to select the option to export 32-bit floating point pixels, especially if you are using units in the range of feet or meters.
Cheers,
Bob
