real symbology of geological map

If I have shape fiel for a geological map an I would like to add symbology reflecting real or standard symbology in geology .

    Do you mean like this (V's denoting volcanics)? If so, search for add custom pattern fill in the help.

    This option provides the opportunity to create a custom fill pattern from an image file. For transparent or translucent patterns, use a transparent PNG format image file when creating the custom fill pattern."
