Problem downloading SRTM Elevation

In the last month or two I am trying to download SRTM Elevation Data 1-arc-second  from the Online Data Sources Download. The download process never starts.
Does anyone know why?
Did anyone had the same issue?

I downloaded data from that data set moments ago. What version of Global Mapper are you using? Are you getting an error message?
