convert to ENVIL bil file?

Hi, I'm learning how to use a set of topographic tools called LSDTopoTools (https://lsdtopotools.github.io/LSDTT_documentation/LSDTT_introduction_to_geospatial_data.html#_gdal), and the instructions say it works best with ENVI files with a .bil extension.  This is all very technical for me and is going to take a while to figure out, but I was wondering first off if there's any way to export a DEM like ETOPO or SRTM to ENVI format.

Hello,

Global Mapper supports exporting an elevation grid to a .bil file, but I don't know if it is an ENVI file, per se. Have you tried that?

I'm still reading the documentation, so I haven't tried anything yet. 

Here's a screenshot from the documentation (https://lsdtopotools.github.io/LSDTT_documentation/LSDTT_introduction_to_geospatial_data.html#_what_data_does_lsdtopotools_take).

Based on that, I'm guessing that I need to use the Export command on whatever DEM I want to use to change it to a BIL/BIP/BSW file, and then in the BIL/BIP/BSW Export Options window, choose "Generate ERS (ERMapper Header) File", and be sure not to check "Use ESRI (Arc) HDR File Format (Short Format)
