Longitude & Latitude to 3D space X & Y coordinate?

Hi All,

Is it possible to convert Lat/Long coordinate to X/Y coordinate to be used in 3D applications? I did some googling but dont understand how UTM is related.

Does global mapper have some conversion tools to do this and export to csv

Hello,

This is a good question. I've done X/Y conversion to Lat/Lon+elevation for Digital Terrain Map cellular (WGS84) coverage.

And did it through several hours of googling and UTM Zone trials. I have no screenshots saved.

But for sure, it should be possible vice versa.
