Intersecting Contour lines

Is there a way to prevent DEM generated contour lines from touching and intersecting themselves. This is a recurring issue I've  always had with GM such that if I need to present drawings with contours I usually generate them with CAD software.

It's likely related to your simplification settings or enabling smoothing or both.

Thank you very much, setting the simplification settings to Zero solved the problem. No more intersecting contours.
