ability to export Photoshop layed psd and psb file

It would be nice to have the ability to export GM overlay layers to a layers in a Photoshop file with accompanying world file.

You might look into the Avenza Geographic Imager tool.. it is very useful and affordable add on for photoshop that allows you to work with a lot of geospatial raster formats.
