Opening this "elevation" data

Hi,
Its not actually elevation, but a clutter 21 classes telco file,
It happens to me very often after i upgraded to 20.x's versions

Most of the times I cant open the file right away, i have to make a plan, using older versions or try to open it several times (sometimes it opens to the third or fifth!) but most of the times it depends on a lot of things, like if i have opened before the ortho or the actual evelation DTM/DHM/DSM over the area...

This creates a bottleneck this side as i have to open different versions, drop off vectors to both of them, overlay in both of the versions, etc, etc, etc Could you please be so kind and let me know WHY this could happen? do i have any parameter by default that might affect the fact of not being able to OPEN anything???

Hello Alberto,

Using Global Mapper 20.0, 20.1 and 21.0, I was able to open that file without any problems several times in a row. Can you be more specific about what happens when you try to open it? Is there an error message? When I opened the file, Global Mapper showed a prompt asking whether the data is in the Northern Hemisphere or Southern Hemisphere. I selected Northern Hemisphere. Which option did you choose?

no error message, the left side bar shows the data has been opened but the data is not there. As i told you, this seems a-systematic so sometimes it doesnt happen, that's why i think its a "by default" parameter...
for instance, see the image? the DTM should be there but in fact its not!!! (metadata shows minmax wrong values...)

I'm afraid that I don't have a good answer for you. I suggest that you contact Blue Marble Support directly via email (geohelp@bluemarblegeo.com) to see if they have more insight. Please include a detailed description of your workflow and both the ortho and DTM files you are using. Thanks.
