V20 Panasonic toughbook not starting . crashing. no toolbar

Hi ,

our I.T. installed V20.1.2, a handful of our toughbooks have been having issues.

on startup we receive the error listed below;

then on OK the program continues to load up, but then shows no toolbars at all just the menus. when trying to use a menu item it crashes.

I have contacted blue marble about this, but apparently they have not encountered this before.

    Hello,

    What are the specs for your toughbooks?
    What operating system is running?
    Did these computers have an earlier version of Global Mapper installed? If so, did you try uninstalling the old version and deleting the Global Mapper registry key (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Global Mapper) before installing the new version? (Note that it is not generally required that you do so, but depending on how old the previous version was, it is possible that there could be problems related to how Windows stores toolbar placement information.)

    Nice! working!

    my steps:

    1. Turn off company sanctioned installer
    2. uninstall with cleaner
    3. cleaner the reg
    4. conduct as bmg_bob suggested and remove reg key
    5. restart
    6. download and install via the blue marble website ( not the company installer)
    7. ask the company IT for the licencing server as I had removed it in my blind surgery.
