Global Mapper v24.1

Elevation geotiff not holding resolution on export

I have around 30 lines that i'm trying to combine into an elevation Geotiff or any other format to bring into GIS.  I'm exporting with the same spacing that I'm importing the individual lines, however, when I bring the combined lines Geotiff that I exported back into GM, it's losing it's resolution and looks much different than the original surface viewed in GM.

    Hello,

It looks like you might be exporting a file with 16-bit or 32-bit integer samples -- that often results in a tiered surface that looks like your image, especially if your elevation units are meters or feet. If that is the case, I suggest that you export using 32-bit floating point samples.

    Cheers,

Please provide a detailed description of your work flow, including screen captures of an options screens that are involved, along with some data that they can use to reproduce the problem.
