Best practice / Advice for merging raster ECW
Hi All, Apologies for the newbie question in advance.
I have about 15 ECW files of township imagery, varying in size from 200MB to 4GB, having an average of less than 1 GB.
I also have one large ECW file of slightly lower quality of rural imagery, lets say 44 GB
The plan is to obviously overlay the township mosiacs over the larger rural mosiac.
The reason i'm asking is I understand it can take days for these files to merge/export so i'd prefer to get it right 'off the bat'.
So to my question: Has anyone any guidelines
i.e create catalog first, export all open layers or whats visible, compression 10:1, etc
Any guidance or suggestions are appreciated.
