How to simulate flood

Hi all, I have issue about simulating flood using global mapper.
All I have is DTM (Digital Terrain Model) and I was trying to simulate flood in that area using simulate water rise/flood tool. But when I input the value of water level rise for 4m, 5m, and 6m, it shown no different and I don't understand why. The elevation value's range of my DTM is about -0.5 m to 4 m, so i think it's non sense when I saw the result because its only a little area that being flooded and it's all same for 4m, 5m, and 6m water rise.
So I need your help to explain this, what i've been doing wrong.
And what or how's the best way to simulate flood using global mapper?
I really looking forward for your help to solve this cause I'm in the middle of project.

    I suggest that you contact Blue Marble Support directly via email (geohelp@bluemarblegeo.com). Please include a detailed description of your workflow, including screen captures of the parameters you are using for the water level rise, and your DTM data. This will help them to reproduce what you are seeing, and resolve the issue.
