Highlight layer of selected feature(s)

Hi,

When using data from CAD sources with hundreds of alphanumeric layers it would be useful to be able to select objects of interest with the Digitizer Tool and have the layers highlighted. Using the Feature Info Tool makes for a very slow process of reading the layer name and then searching through hundreds of layers for the layer of interest.

If this is already possible I'd love to know how to do it.

    Hello Steve,

    We currently have an open feature request to highlight the layer of selected features in the Control Center (#24095), and I have added your information to that request. We are currently evaluating feature requests for inclusion in Global Mapper 21, and having multiple users request a particular function helps to increase the likelihood it will be implemented.
