LOG_MESSAGE - Ignore escape characters

Hi all,

I'm writing %LAYER_DIR% to a user set log file (SET_LOG_FILE USER_FILENAME =%LOG_FILE_URL% APPEND_TO_FILE=YES) but the new line escape character \n in %LAYER_DIR% is adding a new line, any way to stop this?

I've tried FORMULA="replace( %LAYER_DIR%', '\n', '/n' )" but that doesn't work.

Any help would be much appreciated

    Hello,

    Can you post the exact text that is going into the LOG_MESSAGE command? This sounds like something we fixed a while back. What version of Global Mapper are you using?

    For example,
    LOG_MESSAGE c:\new_folder\file.txt
    does not produce a new line in the log file.
