Analysing Preciptious Terrain

I am wondering if anyone knows how to extract some particular data from DEMs (specifically CDEMs from NRCAN).  The attached pdf identifies 5 specific parameters, I was able to identify that GM can sort of get two of them.  The big hurdle (for me at least) is figuring out how to get all the data.  With an assessment area that would nominally be 5.8 NM by 9.3 NM the amount of  terrain points to assess is fairly big (assuming the post spacing is 20m according to the specs, the area contains 537 by 861, or over 460,000 points). Some of the parameters look like the result of multiple calculations, could this be scripted?
