Subdivide area and connecting points to line

Hi,
I need to know whether there is any script or wayaround to subdivide quadilateral area in script?
Also is there way to connect points (to make lines) with equal attributes in script?

By the way, I did check the GM19 script ref, looks like some of feature in edit vector is missing, like create points along feature, create perpendicular lines..are those feature removed from script?

    I'm not sure why this is not in the PDF as a titled item, because they use the feature in an example on page 89.

    CREATE_POINTS_ALONG_FEATURES=200

    Also, I'm sure we have this implemented in a script ourselves, and it worked in the past, although I haven't tried with GM v.19
