Exporting batch LiDAR intensity images to Raster with transparent background

I have a lot of Mobile LiDAR LAZ files I would like to turn into intensity images with transparent backgrounds.  I've used the Batch Convert unsuccessfully - it produces images with a single color.  I've also brought in numerous files at a time to tile them out using the Export Raster/Image Format tool.  This was also unsuccessful due to the volume and size of the files.  I have already classified bare-earth and that's all i want to create an image of with intensity values - we we can see road markings and limits.

Any suggestions?
