TIN max and min elevations

Hi, 

Is there a way to find/calculate the exact max. and min. elevations of a TIN face area?

I tried to calculate them with a loaded elevation grid "created from the same points that form ends of tin face", but unfortunately found a little difference in values, as those grids have a specific resolution created by.
