What is the difference between GM_SetProjection and GM_LoadProjection...
I see in the reference page that GM_SetProjection sets the view/export projection/datum.
How is this different from "loading" a projection with GM_LoadProjectionFile or GM_LoadProjectionFromEPSGCode or GM_LoadProjectionFromWKTSTring? When you load a projection, what is it used for if it is not "Set"?

If all of your files are in the same datum and projection, and your exported files need to use the same datum and projection, you don't need to change. If your files use more than one datum/projection, your display will be set to the datum and projection of your first loaded file. Again, if that is what your exported files need to use, you don't need to change. One of the useful capabilities of Global Mapper is to allow you to specify your output datum and projection, regardless of your input files.
