Native LAS 1.4 support using LASzip

I have LAS v1.4 files with type 6 point records that I have compressed to LAZ using the native 1.4 compressor in LASzip. It appears that GM does not yet support the native 1.4 compressor. Is that true? I'm on an older version of GM (17) and it gives me this error message when loading one of these LAZ files. I expect to see this because GM 17 is using a version of LASzip from before implementation of the native las v1.4 compressor.

However when using GM v19.0.1 (b101117) the file still fails to load. The error message is:

Unable to lad overlay 605_5053_201602.laz
V:\605_5053_201602.laz contains an incorrect path.
File <V:\605_5053_201602.laz> Does NOT Exist. Do you have permission to write to <V:\>?

I have tested and viewed the LAZ file using LAStools and LASview and I know there is nothing wrong with the file.

Looks like I'm a little quick to ask for this. The native extension of LASzip compression for LAS 1.4 hasn't officially been announced as complete. It doesn't sound like it is going to change any but the version I've been using is called pre-release.
