How to switch between CC and map?

Often I hide layers in Control Center and then want to apply export or another favorite to the current selection in the map. However I need to return focus from CC to the map window first for execution of favorite (keys dont respond in CC). How can I achieve focus on map without loosing selected area features?
Is there a key shortcut or clicking position for the map window?

Still no solution in Version 19.
In other words, how to set focus from CC to map area so that favorite key shortcuts work while (multiple) selected features remain selected. Mouse click deselects...

Any workaround?

So far I oly manged RIGHT mouseclick in the map area, then ESC-key to return focus from CC to map. Now I can use favorite key keeping multiple area feature selection. Just wanted to share...
