Is there a script for moving 3d data (.xyz) and snapping it to a line created in AutoCAD (.dxf)?

Is there a script for moving 3d data (.xyz) and snapping it to a line created in AutoCAD (.dxf)?

    Hi,

    There is no script command for doing that.  Please provide some more detail about what you are trying to accomplish, so we can get an idea if this is something that should be added.  Thanks.

    When running hydrographic surveys, the data is acquired by navigated to a planned straight line (Point A to Point B). After Post-processing the data, the data in it's raw format (x,y,z), is then used to create a surface model. What i'm trying to achieve is something that associates the xyz data to the planned line. Say, for instance all data within 10ft left or right of the planned line can be moved perpendicularly to its associated line therefore reflecting the data as a "straight line."

    Step1:



    Step2 - Select the lines that have the desired length (my case, under 100m) 


    Step3 - select points near selected lines - distance = 0.1m

    Step4 - move selected points to new layer, select the points and the line and apply tool:
