Blank a grid

hi, 
i'd like to blank an area into an elevation grid. This function exist in Surfer software (.bln file). i don't find it in Global mapper.

Hello,

What do you mean when you say, "blank an area"?  Do you want to replace the data in the area with 'no data' values?  Or set the data to zero?
