Import or Paste vertex elevation from Excel
Dear all,
Is there a way to paste vertex elevation from Excel for line or area feature? avoiding creation of points features and use "JOIN" tool.
I need to do this for a lot of conduits in GIS environment without switch back between GM and a specific hydraulic software.
Thanks in advance

What about numbering each of the points and exporting as CSV? You could then import into GM and it should generate lines. If you want to have more than one line per CSV file, use a unique name/number for each of them and use the "line breaks" check box in the import dialog to tell GM which field will change for a new line.

Thanks kfroese,
I've the lines inside the GM itself, that way I need to create points from the lines, export them as XYZ to add their XY to the elevations I got, and then import the file back to the GM as CSV as you mentioned.
While it might be a long process but it's deemed a nice solution.
I'm wondering if there is a tool similar to JOIN tool but to use it with vertex attached with line/area features.
Again thank you very much.
