How to get keyboard shortcuts to work in v18?

I updated to v18, and the standard keyboard shortcuts no longer seem to work... (for example "I" to stay in insert vertex mode, and "v" to snap to vertices when creating an area)

Any ideas how I can get these to work again? Thanks!
